Write about your key personal learning in this course thus far
After careful consideration my key personal learning in this course has started with the history of computers and when they started to influence our lives. If it was not for computers we would not be able to complete our Master program online from any destination in the world. Which with this program I am now able to better understand the proper way to incorporate computers and other technologies into the classroom. With technology playing a huge part in our everyday lives this course introduced the use of blogging. Blogging is something that I have heard of prior to this course but never used. Being able to blog with my classmates about material introduced and discussed in the course has helped me better understand how I would be able to use this in my own classroom. Even though some of the information presented in this course have been redundant from other courses the assignments have offered different approaches to utilizing the information. I look forward to more information presented to better help me use technology in the classroom.

I too found the histoy of computers to be quite interesting. It is hard to think that an Abacus is in the same presentation as a personal computer and, that the Controlled Calculator was invented in 1943. If you think about it, that really was not that long ago for some of us. Computers started out being a huge machines and now we can carry them in our pockets.
ReplyDeleteYou are not kidding about it was not that long ago that I first purchased a computer on my own. Okay well it was 11 years ago but that still is not that long ago. At the time spending $1000 on a computer was crazy but now that I am older I feel that it is an investment and almost a nessecity to function in this day and age.
